This simple prayer form I learned at Alpha. It's similar to ACTS but perhaps easier to teach, especially to children. Actually, the words are all related to good manners, and we want to give our best to God, right?
S is for Sorry
Tell God you are sorry for the things you have done wrong and the things you failed to do right.
T is for Thanks
Thank God for all the good things God has done for you and for those around you.
P is for Please
Ask God politely for the things that you need or things needed by others.
Here's my sample:
God, I'm sorry I didn't do my studying today.
Thanks for the day at home and for the web work I got done.
Please help me sleep well and get up early tomorrow.
Thanks, God. Good night!
Nobody said your prayers have to be fancy, the more basic and down to reality the better!
